Long Run is the ultimate strength building session. Go the distance with these supported training runs that align with Heartbreak's Marathon Training for Boston, Chicago, and New York. Each week coaches will review the routes (beginner & intermediate/advanced options) and provide the guidance, insight, and motivation to make your next big race your best. Distances vary from 4-20 depending on the training needs of the week. Runners can always choose a shorter distance. Runs start and end at our Newton and Chicago Heartbreak locations.

Emily is a focused and fierce athlete and person. She knocked off over 20 minutes from her marathon PR since joining the team and has her sites sets on even loftier goals. She's always first to step up and offer help with Heartbreak's social events and knows that being a coach and leader is all about walking the walk (or running the run, in this case).Â
Brea is a former collegiate cross country & track athlete at Bryant. She's a natural leader, able to share both her knowledge and bring the hype to a session. Having struggled with a major injury early in her running career, she's able to empathize and connect well with any runner who is on a comeback!
Pat is the the most enthusiastic teammate you could ever ask for, also one of the fastest. Pat's a die hard member of our Flyers, the group of Heartbreakers who represent us at the front of the pack. Even better, he'll coach you up! He shares his deep knowledge of the sport with all of the love and & joy you'd expect from a Heartbreak coach. Fun fact: he speaks French!
Russell Wells is a former D1 runner at both UMass and Boston College. Russell's specialty in college was the 800m but never afraid of a challenge, he quickly took on the marathon after finishing grad school. As a member of family deeply connected to running, Russell brings a level of knowledge of the sport that indicates a deep immersion in it since birth. His jokes are good too.Â
Stephen is a driven distance runner and leader. He always seeks out ways to pass on his own knowledge and experience as a top tier competitor. He's won both the Bay State and Providence Marathons. He boasts a PR of 2:19:02 from CIM. A former D1 runner at Brown, Stephen is engaging &Â well informed on all things running.Â
Amy T, as she's known, is one of the fiercest competitors in the Boston running scene. She is our women's Firehouse record holder, runs a sub 1:20 half, and is chasing the OTQ. Fun fact: she can ride a unicycle too! Amy's infectious enthusiasm will make you love running even when you're pushing to your limit.Â
